Beach Proposal in the stunning Baia di Riaci

When Mike reached out from Philadelphia about photographing his surprise proposal to Kay, I could already feel it was going to be something special. He had chosen Riaci Beach, just outside Tropea—one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to catch the sunset by the sea.

On the day of the proposal, the atmosphere was perfect. The light was soft, the waves gentle, and there was that quiet energy that comes just before something big happens. Kay had no idea. As they walked along the beach, chatting and laughing, Mike paused, turned to her, and got down on one knee.

Her reaction? Pure emotion—surprise, joy, and a very big yes.

Right after, we stayed a bit longer for a short engagement shoot, capturing their smiles, hugs, and the magic of that golden hour light. Everything felt effortless and real.

It was one of those moments that reminds me how lucky I am to do this—freezing memories right as they happen, in places that feel like a dream.
